My friends and I were looking for something different from the typical Montpellier fare when we came upon le Gurü. What a unique culinary discovery – an Asian-French fusion menu like nothing else around.

From the moment we walked in, the friendly staff made us feel at home. But it was the artfully plated food that really blew us away. As starters, the vegetable nem were light and flavor-packed.

We decided to branch out for the mains – one ordered the Japanese duck curry and another the noodle bowl. Both were absolutely delicious, marrying the cuisines in perfect harmony. You could taste both technique and passion from the kitchen.

Le Gurü is an absolute gem of a find. If you want to break out of the traditional restaurants in Montpellier, look no further for innovative flavors and welcoming hospitality. We’ll be back to explore more surprising dishes from their creative menu very soon!

My partner and I were passing through Montpellier and happened upon La Cuisine de Camille, hoping to grab a casual lunch. Their display set-up was quite different – you pick your appetizer, main, and dessert directly from the offerings.

Honestly, we weren’t sure what to expect from this self-serve buffet style, but it worked beautifully. How fun and stress-free to select exactly what appealed! And everything was absolutely delicious – clearly prepared fresh that day from quality ingredients.

On top of the incredible food, the service was very friendly and accommodating. They clearly take pride in both their unique concept and the homey meals themselves.

La Cuisine de Camille is the type of neighborhood gem you’d hope to discover serendipitously. We will definitely make a point to stop by whenever back in Montpellier for their one-of-a-kind lunch experience done so right. Simply excellent!

My friend and I had been wanting to check out Le Jardin for their famous weekend brunch. Knowing it would be busy, we made sure to sign up for the online queue on their website in advance – a smart system to get a table quickly.

The menu had an amazing variety of both sweet and savory options, so there was truly something for everyone’s tastes. My pancakes were fluffy perfection.

But what really stood out was the top-notch customer service. Our servers were friendly, and attentive but not intrusive, and made the experience completely seamless and pleasant. There was a great buzz of energy in the dining room too.

Le Jardin has clearly mastered the art of brunch. From their innovative online booking to the culinary delights and superior hospitality, everything aligned for a wonderful morning out. We’ll be sure to reserve a spot again soon. Highly recommended!

My friends and I were looking for a casual dinner spot near our hotel in Montpellier when we came across Burger Story. As non-meat eaters, we were excited to see they had several tempting vegan options.

I ordered the Beyond Burger and was blown away by the flavor and juiciness – you truly couldn’t tell it was plant-based. The fries and creamy beer mustard dip were also top-notch.

But the standout part of our experience was undoubtedly the incredible customer service. Our servers and the manager spoke English, French, and Spanish with ease – and they gave their best attempt at Italian too which gave us a good laugh.

On top of the delicious homemade food, Burger Story has clearly mastered hospitality. We’ll absolutely be paying them another visit next time in Montpellier. Everything about our meal was enjoyable thanks to the quality flavors and attentive multilanguage staff. A true find!

My partner and I arrived in Montpellier on a Sunday, only to discover most places were closed for the day. Walking around, we stumbled upon Cafe des Arcades and were so glad we did.

Even though it was quieter than a weekend, the friendly host Charlotte made us feel right at home. She recommended some local favorites from their weekend brunch menu at an excellent value.

We enjoyed creamy eggs with spinach alongside fresh pastries. The coffee was rich and strong – just what we needed after a long drive. It was the perfect relaxed spot to people watch from the sunny terrace.

Cafe des Arcades is clearly a Sunday gem, providing a warm respite when other options are lacking. With its wonderful service and quality fare, it deserves to be included in any Montpellier itinerary. We’ll be sure to return on our next visit!

My girlfriend and I were looking for a relaxed yet productive spot to study in central Montpellier. That’s when we happened upon Deli’s Cafe – what a find!

The owner warmly welcomed us and was so helpful recommending seating downstairs so we could plug in. We placed our order at the counter and were thrilled not to have to go back upstairs each time.

The space was bright, clean, and spacious – perfect for spreading out our books. We enjoyed top-notch coffee alongside a pastry for a great deal given the 2-hour WiFi.

Everything from the smooth service to the delicious cold coffee Viennoise made our afternoon study session a pleasure. Deli’s Cafe is surely the most welcoming and refreshing spot to work in the area. We’ll be back time and time again!

A local recommended Le Petit Bouchon to me for dishes bursting with rich Provençal flavors. They weren’t wrong – the baked camembert and poultry main I enjoyed were absolutely delicious.

While the tightly spaced tables don’t offer the most intimate dining, the vibrant atmosphere, and incredible food more than make up for it. We had a lively, communal feel. Service was efficient and attentive despite the busy room. Wines by the glass were also well-chosen favorites.

My only reservation would be the lack of vegetarian options. But for carnivores seeking authentic regional specialties, Le Petit Bouchon absolutely delivers. The flavors are worth squeezing in for. I’ll be back to try more from their seasonal menu soon.

As an Englishman still learning French, the Coffee Club has become my home away from home in Montpellier. From the moment I stepped inside, the relaxed Aussie/Kiwi vibes transported me right back to cafes at home.

And my word – these baristas know their beans! Clearly employing native English speakers was the right call, as I’ve never had better flat whites. A true coffee connoisseur’s delight.

While I’m yet to sample the food, the pastries and cuisine being indulged around me look absolutely divine. A serious bit of cake is surely in my near future to properly commemorate discovering this gem.

Friendly staff and top quality coffee in spades – the perfect antidote to homesickness. It’s a one-stop shop for expat comforts and caffeine fixes alike. Surely this place has become my new favorite local haunt.

My friend and I came to Le Jardin de San Marco for a Sunday lunch, and we were delighted by our experience. The salad choices were unlike anything we’ve had before – full of creative, flavorful combinations.

We sampled the Coquilique and Pré Vert salads, enjoying interesting mixes of fruits, vegetables, and proteins. Both were marvelously tasty and made with high-quality ingredients.

The vegetable lasagna was also a standout – different yet still delicious. The presentation of all the dishes was beautiful. And I have to mention the freshly squeezed grapefruit juice, so refreshing.

Service was impeccable even though they were busy. I wholeheartedly recommend stopping in – the menu offers unexpected delights. We’ll definitely be back to explore more seasonal specials soon. An excellent lunch spot for exploring new flavors.

While our French is still developing, Le Melice offered a welcoming dining experience. Visiting Montpellier in early September, we popped into the highly regarded bistro for dinner one evening.

I opted for the pork ribs with a thick herby crust – they were truly superb, full of flavor. My partner enjoyed generous portions of fresh linguine as well. Prices were reasonable for the quality served. Even with our limited language skills, the charming staff were very accommodating. The drinks selection was also well-rounded.

It’s clear Le Melice maintains high culinary standards. An ideal spot for any meal. Just be aware they call themselves “M&Lice” online, which can complicate finding them – but it’s worth hunting down for terrific local fare. We’ll be back next visit!

It’s been many months since my first visit to Café Oz, yet each return has left as positive an impression as the last. Over multiple visits, I’ve continued to be impressed by the energetic, welcoming staff who are eager to help recommend menu options.

Beyond their pleasant personalities, the homemade food is always an enjoyment – flavorsome without exception. And their coffee stands out, being excellent even without added milk or sugar. As both a traveler and student still learning French, I appreciate the staff’s willingness to speak English. It makes the cuisine accessible to all.

Café Oz consistently delivers high quality beverages and dishes in a warm, enjoyable atmosphere. It’s clear why repeat customers keep coming back for more. I look forward to many return visits in the future.

My partner and I visited La Crêperie du Théâtre not once, but twice based on our first delightful experience. With both savory and sweet options, their homemade galettes are truly delicious – large portions meant one was the perfect dinner for each of us.

Service was friendly and informative both times. On our first visit it was quick, while on our second they wisely warned of a wait given the sizable crowd. We didn’t mind at all.

After enjoying our hearty meals, I appreciated chatting with the knowledgeable staff about galette preparation since I’d been trying my hand at home. An enlightening culmination to a cozy dinner out.

While it can feel cramped when busy, the intimate atmosphere adds to the appeal. Prices are quite reasonable too at around 7-8 euros. Highly recommended for tasting authentic Breton specialties in a characterful setting. We’ll be back!

After over an hour of aimless wandering, my partner and I happened upon Les Fils à Maman – their available English menu was initially our biggest draw deeper into unfamiliar Montpellier. How glad we were to have ventured inside!

While my French skills are limited, our server was endlessly patient, friendly, and helpful – easing any communication concerns. We taste-tested the charcuterie board, cheesy croquettes, goat cheese dumplings, and more. Everything hit the mark for flavorsome perfection.

standouts for me were the tender pork tenderloin swimming in herb sauce and the mega cheeseburger. We finished on a sweet note with crumble topped bananas Foster – you can’t go wrong with Nutella!

This cozy eatery serves up hospitality as heartfelt as its meals. Even with basic French, visitors will feel most welcome. We’ll be sure to return next trip for more culinary discoveries.
